Great News

As some of you know, I own my grandpa's first Toyota truck. I have since customized and restored it, and made an SST model out of it. It is currently in need of an alternator and battery and it will be out on the streets once again. Now the good news: Today I will be getting my Grandpa's 2nd Toyota truck! It is a 1996 Toyota TACOMA SR5, extended cab, 2WD. It is equipped with the 3.4L 3400 V-6. It has been gargarage kept its entire life and is in mint condition ( just like the first one he gave me! ). The 2 trucks are exactly 10 years of age diffrent. My 1986 Toyota was one of the best trucks ever produced by the company and was the set standard for all Toyota trucks. Now the Tacoma is the representation of what the simple Toyota truck used to be.They have virtually the same frame and chassis, but an entirely diffrent body style with more curves and aerodynamics. My Grandpa is also having it tunned up today before I get it so It will be practically a brand new truck! I am so thankful that I now will have a dependable vehicle instead of just relying on my POS Grand Prix.

New fog lamps and Optilux Angel ( Demon ) eyes

I have wired the Demon eyes in on a seperate toggle switch so I can have the option to have them on when my fog lights are off. I also have another toggle switch controlling the nose cone fog lights. Above are some of the multi-optional lighting functions I have access to from the cock-pit of this high performance vehicle.

The Final Touch

This just added a very subttle touch to the engine with out jumping out at you, or looking like an aftermarket concept. I like to keep things looking factory ( OEM ) and simply bring out the best in what I have, as opposed to making something stand out or look flashy.

Prep for Paint Work

These are the photos of the etching work I've done with the exacto knife. The stuff in red is obviously the paint work in its' 1st stage. It took several hours to cut out the template for this paint scheme.

Engine Paint Work

1st photo is where I removed the head lamp in order to access the fender well and to wire in the new fog lamp assembly. 2nd is the prep work I did so I could paint the Intake Manifold styling. 3rd is the Finalized prep before using the razor to etch out the logo and styling. Last photo is the before Photo of the engine and intake manifold.

K&N Cold Air Intake, Optima Battery, & Mesh Grill

The top photo is a picture of my newly installed K&N cold air intake system. I had to patch a broken fender well so I didn't get water in the cone filter or intake manifold. The 2nd picture is my new red top, spiral cell technology, Optima battery. The last photo is of my custom mesh grill inserts.
